Handling and storage

Handling:
- Comply with the legal requirements
- Rigorous containment by technical means during the whole lifecycle
- Procedural and control technologies in place to minimise emissions and exposure
- Restricted to properly trained and authorised personnel
- Special operating procedures in case of cleaning and maintenance
- Procedural and/or control technologies in case of accident and waste generation
- Handling procedures well documented and strictly supervised

- Observe very strict hygiene - avoid contact
- Do not discharge the waste into the drain
- Avoid contact of the substance with water
- Remove contaminated clothing immediately
- Clean contaminated clothing
- Keep container tightly closed

Storage:
- Store in a cool area
- Store in a dry area
- Limited time of storage
- Ventilation at floor level
- Keep away from: heat sources, water/moisture

Materials for packaging:
- suitable: stainless steel, lead, glass
- to avoid: aluminium, iron, zinc

- Limit value (Belgium) : short time value : 0.1 ppm (0.81 mg/m³)

Occupational exposure controls:
- Measure the concentration in the air regularly
- Carry operations in the open/under local exhaust/ventilation or with respiratory protection

Personal protective equipment:

- Wear gas mask with filter type A if conc. in air > exposure limit
- In moist conditions: Gas mask with filter type B
