Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

1) KEY: Ready biodegradability test: BODIS test (draft ISO 10708); 1993; GLP; K2; degradation after 28 days was 92%; substance is readily biodegradable
2) SUPPORTING: Ready biodegradability test: OECD 301b (CO2 evolution test); 1996; no data on GLP; K4; degradation after 23 days was 68%; substance is readily biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

The first study used for assessment was performed according to the draft ISO guidelines and GLP standards. The results of this BODIS test indicated that the substance is readily biodegradable (92% after 28 days); fulfilling the 10 -day window criteria. Additionally, the result of the OECD 301B test also indicates that the substance is readily biodegradable, however the weight of this study is less since no actual study report is available to check the different validity criteria.
