Additional information

Shea et al (1982) investigated the toxicity of Dibutyl phthalate in a non-guideline test on the germination, shoot length and fresh weight of zea mays using a sandy soil as substrate. The lowest effect value was found for the endpoint fresh weight. At a concentration of 200 mg/kg soil a significant reduction of 6% was measured. This EC6 value is comparable to an EC10, hence, it is used for PNEC derivation and risk assessment.
