- Executive summary:
The study was performed to determine the melting temperature of the test substance using the capillary method in accordance with OECD TG 102 and in compliance with GLP. The melting temperature of the test substance was found to be 106.2 °C to 106.9 °C from three determinations performed with an accuracy of about ± 0.4 °C.

RESULTS
For the reference material, benzoic acid, the average determined melting point of 122.4 °C was in perfect agreement with the literature value of 122.4 °C. The melting range of the test substance is, therefore, 106.2 °C to 106.9 °C (=379.4 K to 380.1 K). The accuracy of the determination was estimated to be about ± 0.4 °C
