200 mg of the test material was dissolved in 2 litres of water to give a 100 mg/l test concentration from which a series of dilutions was made to give further test concentrations of 58, 32, 10 and 100 mg/l.

The acute toxicity of the test material to the freshwater invrtebrate Daphnia magna has been investigated and gave a 48 -hour EC50 value of 63 mg/l with 95% confidence limites of 55 -72 mg/l. The No Observed Effect Concentration at 48 hours was 32 mg/l.
