- Endpoint:
- toxicity to aquatic plants other than algae
- Type of information:
- experimental study
- Adequacy of study:
- supporting study
- Study period:
- 30 July 2002 - 9 August 2002
- Reliability:
- 4 (not assignable)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- documentation insufficient for assessment
- Remarks:
- Study only partially conducted. Experimental work was conducted under GLP conditions and in accordance with generally accepted scientific principles but with incomplete reporting. The study was terminated early and few experimental details are included in the report. It is therefore not possible to assess the reliability of the data.

- Executive summary:
A study was initiated to assess the toxicity of the test material to Lemna gibba in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 221 and US EPA FIFRA guidelines 122-2 and 123-2 under GLP conditions.
In a preliminary study, Lemna gibba was exposed to the test material at concentrations of 0.0010, 0.010, 0.10 and 1.0 mg a.i./L, along with a control and solvent control.
At the request of the study sponsor, the preliminary range-finding test was terminated on Day 10 of the study.

Description of key information
The preliminary range-finding test was terminated on Day 10.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
A study was initiated to assess the toxicity of the test material to Lemna gibba in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 221 and US EPA FIFRA guidelines 122-2 and 123-2 under GLP conditions.
In a preliminary study, Lemna gibba was exposed to the test material at concentrations of 0.0010, 0.010, 0.10 and 1.0 mg a.i./L, along with a control and solvent control.
The preliminary range-finding test was terminated on Day 10 of the study per the request of the sponsor. Therefore the study was awarded a reliability score of 4 in accordance with the criteria set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).
