Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air. Give victim oxygen when breathing
difficulty occurs. Consult a physician immediately.
(Is however unlikely to occur since vapour is water)
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. When irritation occurs consult a physician. Show
label.
Emergency measure - Skin: After contact with the skin, wash immediately with plenty of
water and soap (or other cleaning substance) for at least 15
minutes.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give large amount of water containing active charcoal and
induce vomitting. When feeling unwell, consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, CO2, foam.
Product arising from burning: COx, H2O, SOx
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Shovel spillage with absorbant into labelled container.
Remnants can be cleaned with moisture and have to be put
into a labelled container.
Avoid contact with the substance or product.
Cleaning personnel have to take the safety measures which
are described in secton 2.3.00.
Waste disposal should be organised in accordance with local
and/or national regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The usual precautionsfor working with chemicals have to be
taken. During handling of the substance (whereby exposure to
skin and eyes is possible) suitable clothing is considered
to be necessary (e.g. rubber or plastic gloves, safety
goggles and protective clothing).
Keep away from food.
Storage: Store at room temperature in the dark, in closed containers,
away from oxidising substances.
The storage facilities have to the be maintained in
accordance with good housekeeping practices.
After use close container and keep the outside free of
substance, store the container in designated place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1000 L PE barrels for liquids.
