Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
GENERAL INFORMATION
In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
AFTER INHALATION
Supply fresh air or oxygen, call for doctor.
AFTER SKIN CONTACT
Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing. Call a doctor immediately.
AFTER EYE CONTACT
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Call a doctor immediately.
AFTER SWALLOWING
Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting, call for medical help immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, hydrogen chloride (HCl) and chlorine can be released.
ADVICE FOR FIREFIGHTERS
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device and fully protective suit.
Additional information: Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system. Prevent any seepage into the ground.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS, PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals. Wear protective clothing. Avoid contact with substance. Ensure adequate ventilation. Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or groundwater Do not allow to penetrate the ground/soil.
METHODS AND MATERIAL FOR CONTAINMENT AND CLEANING UP
Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust). Dispose contaminated material as waste according to regulations.
Handling and storage
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING
Wear personal protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
INFORMATION ABOUT FIRE - AND EXPLOSION PROTECTION
The product is not combustible. In case of fire hydrogen chloride (HCl) and chloride may be released.
CONDITIONS FOR SAFE STORAGE, INCLUDING ANY INCOMPATIBILITIES
Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store only in the original receptacle. Corrosive action on metals.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Not required.
Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed

Gas and aerosol mist long-term value: 2 mg/m3 (1 ppm)
GENERAL PROTECTIVE AND HYGIENIC MEASURES
- Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
- Immediately remove all soiled and contaminated clothing
- Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work
- Avoid contact with the eyes and skin
- Respiratory protection: Use suitable respiratory protective device in case of insufficient ventilation. If dust or spray is present use respiratory protection filter P3.
- Protection of hands: Protective gloves.
- The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/the substance/the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/the preparation/the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
- Material of gloves: the selection of the suitable glove does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. As the product is a preparation of several substances, the resistance of the glove material cannot be calculated in advance and has therefore to be checked prior to the application.
- Penetration of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the gloves and has to be observed.
- For the permanent contact of a maximum of 15 minutes gloves made of Butyl rubber (BR) or Fluorocarbon rubber (Viton) are suitable
- Eye protection: Tightly sealed goggles
- Body protection: Protective work clothing
Stability and reactivity
- Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications
- Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known
- Conditions to avoid: No further relevant information available
- Incompatible materials: Corrosive action on metals
- Hazardous decomposition products: Hydrogen chloride and chlorine
Disposal considerations
WASTE TREATMENT METHODS
