Description of key information

The AHTN vapour pressure has been used for read across in the safety assessment of HMT. A vapour pressure of 0.07 Pa has been determined by the gas saturation method. The calculated value by EPIWIN was 0.4 Pa.

MPBPWIN v. 1.43 in EPIWIN has been used to calculate the vapour pressure. It is 0.4 Pa, while for the structural related AHTN compound (1 -(5,6,7,8 -tetrahydro-3,5,5,6,8,8 -hexamethyl-2 -naphthyl)ethan-1 -one / CAS: 1506 -02 -1), the vapour pressure measured by the gas saturation method was 0.07 Pa. Both these pressures are very small and hence the calculated value has been taken forward for reporting.
