Description of key information

Under the conditions of the present study with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, Pymorolac reduced growth rate of this fresh water algae species significantly at 0.027 mg/l and higher. Because of structural similarity and similar physico-chemical properties, Pymordiol, by read-across, is expected to have the same effect in aquatic systems. Further justification of the read-across is attached to the Aquatic Toxicity endpoint summary.
The EC50 for yield inhibition (72h-EYC50) was 0.011 mg/l with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 0.007 to 0.016 mg/l.
The 72h-NOEC for growth rate reduction was 0.0031 mg/l.
The 72h-NOEC for yield inhibition was below 0.0013 mg/l.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
