Results and discussion

Auto-ignition temperature (liquids / gases)
Remarks on result:
other: no exothermic effects were observed during the test period at elevated temperature, therefore SX-1 is not a self-heating substance
Relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Remarks on result:
other: no exothermic effects were observed during the test period at elevated temperature, therefore SX-1 is not a self-heating substance

Any other information on results incl. tables

No exothermic effect of the test substance was observed. It demonstrated that the test substance is “not a self-heating substance”. According to the guideline, no further testing was required. After the experiment, the consistency of the sample was unchanged, i.e. no reaction and/or decomposition was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The self-heating temperature of SX-1 was determined by Test 1 of the Modified Bowes-Cameron Cage test. Based on the results obtained, the test substance is considered “not a self-heating substance”.
