In an acute 96 h static test, 1,6-dichlorohexane showed an LC 50 of 100 to 215 mg/L (nominal).

In the key study (BASF AG 10F0025/885172.1988) 1,6-dichlorohexane was tested to Golden orfe in a static freshwater study for 96 h. The nominal test concentrations were 0, 21.5, 46.4, 100, 215, 464, 1000 mg/L. The LC50 was 100 -215 mg/L (nominal).
In a non-standard, not well documented study (87 -0470 -DKO) 1,6-dichlorohexane was tested to Golden orfe in a static freshwater study for 48 h. The LC50 was 21.9 mg/L (nominal). Due to the deficiencies of the study, this value was not taken into account for hazard assessment.
