Description of key information

Additional information

The substance is an organic viscous UVCB liquid. Testing on the physico-chemical endpoints indicates that there are no hazards associated with the physico-chemical properties of this substance. The substance is not sufficiently volatile to be of a hazard.

There are no explosivity, oxidising or flammability hazards associated with the substance based on predictive and laboratory tests.

 Reliability.

The studies have been ranked reliability 1 or 2 according to the Klimish et al system. This ranking was deemed appropriate because whilst some of the studies were conducted to GLP in compliance with recognised guidelines, the majority of the information has been provided from the data generation for the substance as part of the OECD SIDS programme. Chemtura Corporation are a member of the Rubber and Plastic Additives (RAPA) Panel of the ACC who sponsored the data generation and hence are able to utilise this data. The studies for Oxidising and Explosive Properties has been ranked 2 according to the Klimish et al system. This ranking was deemed appropriate as the result was estimated by calculation and follows sounds scientific evaluation based on structure, but the testing facility is not detailed as being GLP compliant.

Justification for classification or non classification

The above results triggered no classification under the CLP Regulation (EC No 1272/2008).
