Description of key information

In Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, it is laid down that long-term toxicity testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment indicates the need to investigate further the effects of the substance and/or relevant degradation products on sediment organisms. The substance is readily biodegradable and exposure to sediment organisms is unlikely. Based upon the chemical safety assessment for this substance, adequate information has been provided to determine that the substance is not a PBT or vPvB, and does not meet the criteria for classification as dangerous according to Directive 67/548/EEC, 1999/45/EC, or 2006/121/EC. Therefore, a sediment toxicity study is not proposed.
