Ecotoxicological information

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria
Type of information:
(Q)SAR
Adequacy of study:
weight of evidence
Study period:
2018
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
results derived from a valid (Q)SAR model and falling into its applicability domain, with adequate and reliable documentation / justification
Justification for type of information:
ECOSAR Version 1.11
QMRF for this informatic tool is not available. However, this informatic tool is widely used and reported in ECHA Practical Guide - How to use and report (Q)SARs, Version 3.1 (July 2016).

The ecological structure activity relationships (ECOSAR) class program is a collection of QSAR models estimating aquatic toxicity, including short-term toxicity to fish. Most of the ECOSAR models are based on the relationships between log Kow and toxicity (LC50 or EC50) and take into account different structural classes.
