Conclusion on classification

The environmental classification of T000749 is currently not harmonised according to the CLP Regulation (EC) 1272/2008. Based on available acute aquatic toxicity data, the lowest valid effect concentration for freshwater aquatic organisms is 12 mg/L (EC50 for daphnids). Based on the available acute data, the substance should not be classified for acute toxicity following Annex I, table 4.1.0 a of the CLP regulation (there are no acute values ≤ 1 mg/L). According to the Table 4.1.0b (II and III) the substance should not be classified for chronic toxicity either as the NOEC of the algae study was above 1 mg/L, the substance is biodegradable and isn't expected to bioaccumulate either (log Pow < 4.5).
