Results
Preliminary Test
Three test mixtures with the test item and cellulose 2:1 could not be ignited. It melted and charred in contact with the ignition source. Three test mixtures with barium nitrate/cellulose 2:1 burned down completely in 68 s, 68 s and 65 s. respectively.

Main Test
Four tests were performed for the reference mixture (barium nitrate and cellulose) with different wt. % oxidizer (barium nitrate), see Table 1.

The highest burning rate of 1.79 mm/s was found for the mixture with 55 wt. % oxidizer.

Mixtures of the test item with cellulose were prepared in between 10 and 90 wt. % of the test item and tested (Table 2).

Due to the fact that the maximum burning rate of the mixture of the test item with cellulose showed no burning rate over the complete distance, the 3 most vigorous mixtures (10, 20 and 30 wt. % of the test item) were repeated twice to verify their behavior (Table 3).

Each mixture was measured 3 times, no burning rate could be determined. Therefore, the maximum burning rate of the mixtures of test item and cellulose can be evaluated as lower than that of the reference mixture of cellulose and barium nitrate (1.79 mm/s).

Conclusion: The test item has no oxidizing properties.

The available data on oxidizing properties of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 or Directive 67/548/EEC, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification: The maximum burning rate of the test mixture was less than that of the reference mixture (barium nitrate and cellulose 2:1) in a test according to the EU method A.17.
