Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The mean removal of N(B-hydroxyethyl)-2,4-diaminoanisole sulfate was 37.5% over a seven week testing period in a porous pot removal test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A porous pot removal testwas conducted onN(B-hydroxyethyl)-2,4-diaminoanisole sulfate, following theEPA OPPTS 835.3220 (Porous Pot Test) guideline. The test material was tested at 20 mg TOC/L. The inoculum was activated sludge collected from aeration basin of Fairfield Wastewater Treatment Plant which receives predominantly domestic sewage. The test treatment and inoculum blank were measured singly.

Stainless steel porous pots containing activated sludge were continuously fed with domestic sewage and the test material. The pots were operated with an SRT (solids retention time) of 10 d and an HRT (hydraulic retention time) of 6 h.

The porous pots were allowed to operate for 2 SRTs to attain steady state. Following this acclimation period, effluent samples were collected periodically, analyzed for soluble organic carbon (SOC) and compared to that of a control porous pot receiving no test substance.

The mean removal of N(B-hydroxyethyl)-2,4-diaminoanisole sulfate was 37.5% over a seven week testing period in the porous pot removal test.
