- Application method: direct weighing
- 10 neonates per vessel, 2 replicates per concentration/control
- The weighed substance in water was used to prepare single test approach 1 hour in an ultrasonic bath treated and then for 24 hours stirred on a magnetic stirrer.
- Undissolved percentage substance were determined by a pleated filter (pore size 7-12 microns) filtered off.
- Criteria of effects: item-induced alteration of the normal mobility and the loss of locomotory actions of the neonates, observed at 24 and 48 hours.

Conclusions:
Daphnia magna was exposed under static conditions for 48 hours to one concentrion (10000 mg/L) of 14H-benz[4,5]isoquino[2,1-a]perimidin-14-one. No toxic effect was observed.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity to invertebrates of 14H-benz[4,5]isoquino[2,1-a]perimidin-14-one was determined according to the EU method C.2 "Acute Toxicity for Daphnia" (1992). Daphnia magna was exposed to the test solution of one nominal concentration of 14H-benz[4,5]isoquino[2,1-a]perimidin-14-one (10000 mg/L) and blank control solution for a period of 48 hours under static conditions. No toxic effect and abnormal behavior were observed.

Description of key information

Daphnia magna were exposed under static conditions for 48 hours to 10000 mg/L of 14H-benz[4,5]isoquino[2,1-a]perimidin-14-one. No toxic effect was observed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
10 000 mg/L

Additional information

The key value should read as EC0 ≥ 10000 mg/L as no effect was reported up to the highest test concentration.
