Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline according OECD 201 has been conducted (Smithers Viscient, 2018). The inhibition of growth to the alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata after 72 h of exposure to the test substance has been tested.

Due to the volatile nature of the test substance, the test vessels were completely filled and sealed to prevent the loss of test substance through potential volatility. Analytical monitoring of the test substance has been conducted. The chemical analysis showed a decline in concentration over the 72 hour test period fo some concentrations. As the decline in concentration was greater than 20 % from the nominal concentration, results were based on geometric mean measured concentrations as worst-case. No effects occurred during the test duration. Therefeore, the EC10 and the EC50 (growth rate) were determined to be > 123 mg/L (geometric mean measured). Therefore, the test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae.
