Description of key information

The test substance is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. It is poorly biodegradable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP guideline study according OECD 301B has been conducted (BASF SE 2017). Activated sludge from a municipal sewage plant has been exposed to the test substance for 28 d and the CO2-Evolution has been determined. After 28 d the biodegradation was determined to be below 10 %. Therefore, the test substance is not readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. The required pass level for ready biodegradability within a ten-day window was not reached.
