Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The constituents of CHDM DGE have low octonol-water partition coefficient (LogKow <3), low vapor pressure, and moderate solubility. The substance has a low potential for adsorption to soil or sediments or for bioaccumulation in aquatic organisms and a low potential to volatilize from water or soil to the atmosphere.

All constituents hydrolyse rapidly with half-lives of less than 2 days at 50°C (only temperature tested). Using the Arrhenius equation the half-life at 20°C can be estimated to be approx 14 days at pH 7. In the environment hydrolysis goes parallel to slow biodegradation though CHDM DGE did not meet the stringent criteria for readily biodegradable in testing according to the OECD 301 series.
