Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to
Guideline:
EU Method A.1 (Melting / Freezing Temperature)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. certificate)
Type of method:
capillary method
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
> 300 °C
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
258 °C

No phase change was observed before decomposition (258 °C). It was assumed that the discoloration was an indication of decomposition of the substance. An attempt was done to run this test up to 300 °C and also up to that temperature no phase change was observed.

Conclusions:
The melting point of the substance is > 300 degC. Discolouration was observed at 258 degC.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
300 °C
