Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
36 °C
Atm. press.:
98.53 kPa
Remarks on result:
other: Glass transition at 30°C followed by melting at 36°C (mean rounded values)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The shape of the first endotherm would suggest a glass transition at a mean, rounded, onset temperature of 30°C (29.82°C Test 1, 29.35°C Test 2) followed by complete liquefaction at a mean, rounded, onset temperature of 36°C (35.50°C Test 1, 36.40°C Test 2). This would suggest that Gardamide softens just prior to melting.
