Description of key information

The surface tension is 72.2 mN/m (diluted to 1 g/L in water at 20°C)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000.3

Additional information

For verification of the measured values the surface tension of demineralized water was also measured. With a correspondence of the measured value σ (20 °C) = 72.5 mN/m, to the theoretical value σ (20 °C) = 72.75 mN/m, cited in literature, the determination of the surface tension of the substance is considered as valid.

It should be made clear that the substance hydrolyses rapidly and thus during measurement most of the substance had been disappeared.
