Available information:

Short-term toxicity to fish:

The acute toxicity of N-[3(5)-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl-methyl]acetamide was determined according to OECD Guideline 203 (Fish, Acute Toxicity Test). Under laboratory conditions no effects of the test item on survival of Danio rerio were determined. The NOEC (no observed effect concentration) after 96 hours was determined to be 100 mg/L.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates:

The short-term toxicity of N-[3(5)-Methyl-1 H-pyrazol-1 -yl-methyl]acetamide to aquatic invertebrates was determined according to OECD Guideline 202 (Daphnia sp. Acute Immobilisation). Under laboratory conditions no effects of the test item on immobilisation of daphnids were determined. The NOEC (no observed effect concentration) after 48 hours was determined to be 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to aquatic algae:

The toxicity of N-[3(5)-Methyl-1 H-pyrazol-1 -yl-methyl]acetamide to aquatic algae was determined according to OECD Guideline 201 (Alga, Growth Inhibition Test). Under laboratory conditions no inhibitory effects of the test item on average specific growth rate and yield were determined. The NOEC (no observed effect concentration) after 72 hours was determined to be 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganism:

The toxicity of N-[3(5)-Methyl-1 H-pyrazol-1 -yl-methyl]acetamide to microorganism was determined according to OECD Guideline 209 (Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test). The EC50 of the test item after 3 hours of exposure to the microorganisms of activated sludge was calculated to be 2120 mg/L.
