Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
December 10, 2002 - February 7, 2003
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: The LOD should have been determined from the noise level of a standard solution. In addition, it is reported that dispersions were used, which implies the presence of undissolved material.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
(1992)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
column elution method
Remarks:
(with recirculating pump)
Remarks on result:
other: Inconclusive
Details on results:
- Preliminary test: < 26.3 µg/L

Validation

The linearity of the detector response in respect to concentration was assessed over the nominal concentration range of 0 to 10 mg/L. This was satisfactory with a correlation coefficient of 1.000 being obtained (not further reported)

Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L)
The substance is insoluble in water. The Competent Authority of France concluded in 2003 that the water solubility of the substance is 4.38 µg/L at 20°C, the LOD determined in the water solubility study.
