Conclusion on classification

According to the weight-of-evidence approach described in IUCLID section 5.2, terephthalic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine is considered to be readily biodegradable. Based on the log kow values of its constituents, it is not potentially bioaccumulative. An acute toxicity data is available on one trophic level (daphnids), with an EC50 ranging from 10 to 100 mg/L; meaning that terephthalic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine is harmful to aquatic invertebrates. On this basis, terephthalic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine does not need to be classified for its environmental impacts both under CLP and DSD.
