Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

For the determination of the density of Tetradecylamine, two data are reported: one from a GLP guideline study (Ciric, 2015) and one from an authoritative database (GESTIS, 2014).

The density of Tetradecylamine was determined to be 0.952 g/cm3 at 20°C in a GLP-compliant study conducted in accordance with EU Method A.3, OECD Guideline 109 and EPA OPPTS 830.7300 Method (Ciric, 2015). The relative density of Tetradecylamine was determined to be 0.952. This value is considered reliable without restriction (Klimisch 1) and is used as key value for the assessment.

Besides, the experimentally measured density of 0.952 g/cm3 is consistent with the density of 0.993 g/cm3 collected from the GESTIS Substance Database (GESTIS, 2014); this literature data is considered reliable with restrictions (Klimisch 2) and is used as supporting data in the assessment.
