Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A qualitative assessment based on Henry's Law Constant estimation suggests very little loss to air from the water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Only experimental results from melted HMD were available. Therefore extrapolated values below the melting point (< 39.9°C) are considered unreliable. Using the extrapolated value Henry¿s Law Constant can be calculated: HLC = 4.94 Pa.m3.mol-1. Henry¿s Law Constant can be estimated using HENRYWIN v.3.20 showing 3.26x10-4Pa.m3.mol-1and 7.15x10-5Pa.m3.mol-1 depending on bond or group estimates respectively suggesting very little loss to air from the water.
