Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to OECD/EC test guidelines, the adsorption coefficient using the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been determined to be a Koc of 30903 (log Koc = 4.49), which is taken for the assessments, as this value is the worst-case value for the compartment water.

Additional information

In an OECD/EC study, using the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method, the adsorption coefficient was determined. In the chromatogram of the test substance solution, two partly overlapping large peaks were observed which were considered to derive from the major components in the test substance. Furthermore three small test substance peaks were observed. These peaks were considered to derive from minor components in the test substance. The Koc and log Koc values of the major components in 2-amylanthraquinone and of one minor component with a peak area > 1% are:

Minor component – peak 1: Koc = 1.5 x 10^3; log Koc = 3.18

Major component – peak 4: Koc = 3.1 x 10^4; log Koc = 4.49

Major component – peak 5: Koc = 3.7 x 10^4; log Koc = 4.57
