Description of key information

A 21 day NOEC of 28.1 mg/l (OECD 211)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Measured data was not available for triethoxy(vinyl)silane: In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the long-term aquatic toxicity to invertebrates study (required in Section 9.1.5 of REACH Annex IX) does not need to be conducted as the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates that this is not necessary. Read across data from the analogue substance trimethoxy(vinyl)silane CAS 2768 -02 -7 were additionally used. The study reported a 21 day NOEC of 28.1 mg/l to Daphnia magna (Ministery of the Environment, Government of Japan, 2006b). The study was conducted according to OECD 211 guideline and therefore considered as reliable for assessment.
