Description of key information

The substance is non flammable according to the EU method A.10.
The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases at contact with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The test according to the EU-method A.10. is similar to a corresponding test of the UN-Guideline 'Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods'. The result of the A.10.-test shows, that the substance has not to be classified as flammable according to the CLP regulation.

With view on the structure of the substance and as consequence of long experience by handling, it can be stated, that triallyl cyanurate has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases on contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures, triallyl cyanurate is not considered to be a readily combustible solid. The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases at contact with water.

Also the flash point of the molten state (175.5 °C) support the reason for non classification.
