Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The vapour pressure of the substance betaines, C12-14 (even numbered)-alkyldimethyl was calculated for the individual constituents: betaine, C12-alkyldimethyl, and betaine, C14-alkyldimethyl by using Episuite (MPBPWIN v1.43), modified Grain method, which is the method recommended for solids. The vapour pressure was determined to be1.01E-07 Pa for C12-Betaine and 2.57E-08 Pa for C14-Betaine; therefore, the higher value was chosen to represent the vapour pressure for the UVCB-substance. The recommended experimental methods are only suited to determine vapour pressures starting from 10E-04 Pa. Therefore, determination by QSAR is an acceptable alternative for this substance.
