The members of category C4, high 1,3 -butadiene (>0.1%) have partition coefficients that ranges between log Kow 2.09 to 2.31

Partition co-efficient data was calculated for members of the category [68476 -52 -8, 68477 -42 -9, 68955 -28 -2, 87741 -01 -3] using the KOWWIN programme in EPISuite V4 (2009)as the structure of the stream fits the parameters of the model. The log Kow for category C4, high 1,3 -butadiene (>0.1%)is therefore taken to range from 2.09 to 2.31. In support of this, data was read across from a peer reviewed handbook (Hansch 1995) on 2 -butene , but-1 -ene and 2 -methylpropene which have a comparable structure to the members of the category
