Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Migrated information
Conclusions:
Combustion class no 2 (catches fire briefly and estinguishes)
Executive summary:

The test item could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test but melted and changed the color into black in contact with the flame. Therefore, no main test was performed. Combustion class no 2 (catches fire briefly and estinguishes)

Flammability in Contact with Water and Pyrophoric Properties

- Chemical Structure

The appraisal of the molecular structure indicates no risk with respect to pyrophoric properties or the potential of evolving flammable gases in contact with water or humid air.

- Practical Experience

The test item did not show any spontaneous ignition of formation of flammable gases performing studies in aqueous test systems.

Thus, it can be concluded beyond reasonable doubt that the test item does not ignite spontaneously when in contact with water or humid air.

Description of key information

Company guideline test similar to the test procedure of the preliminary screening test 1.6.1, A.10. Flammability (solids), Annex, A.10., Regulation EC No 440/2008 was performed.
Based on the results the substance has not to be classified as highly flammable according to Regulation 67/548/EEC and EC 1272/2008.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not predicted.
