Additional information

The substance 1-chlorobutane will be degraded from water by phototransformation in water (pseudo first-order rate constant kBuCl between 0.34 and 1.48 min-1) and to a lesser degree by hydrolysis (e.g. in groundwater).

In the air compartment, the half-life of indirect photolysis was reported at 10.7 days which indicates rapid removal from air.
