Conclusion on classification

The information concerning the aquatic toxicity of ETHYLDIISOPROPYLAMINE (EDIPA) are summarized hereafter:


Acute toxicity to fish: LC50_96h > 69.7 mg/L


Acute toxicity to daphnia: EC50_48h = 28.1 mg/L


Long-term toxicity to fish: NOEC = 14 mg/L


Long-term toxicity to daphnia: NOEC = 0.51 mg/L


Toxicity to algae: ErC50_72h = 196 mg/L and ErC10_72h = 118 mg/L


Acute and Long-term toxicity data are available for the three trophic levels  Therefore, adequate chronic toxicity data are available and can be used to determine the long-term classification. As the lowest chronic toxicity value is lower than 1 mg/L, chronic classification for the environment is required.


EDIPA is not readily biodegradable and has a log Kow < 1.


Based on these results, EDIPA is classified H411 for the environment according to CLP. The substance is toxic to aquatic organisms and causes long-term adverse effects.
