The result of a chronic earthworm test is available and no concern is indicated for the terrestrial compartment.
amidoamines/imidazolines sorb strongly to soil but the hydrolyse quickly
and the intermediates are biodegraded to CO2 and H2O and a polyethylene
amine. The shortest poly amine DETA is also biodegraded. Therefore one chronic
earthworm test has been performed to assess the long-term risk for
terrestrial species. Further tests on terrestrial organisms do not need
to be conducted if no concern is indicated for the terrestrial
compartment based on one chronic test result.
