Description of key information
There is no specific data on the substance. Read-across to the physico-chemical properties of Hexanoic acid, 3,5,5-trimethyl-, 1,1'-[2-ethyl-2-[[(3,5,5-trimethyl-1-oxohexyl)oxy]methyl]-1,3-propanediyl] ester (EC 613-848-7, CAS65870-94-2) is applicable based on the similarity in structure and physico-chemical properties.

The analogue substance has a low vapour pressure (0.0000032 Pa) and is slightly soluble in water (2.04E-03 mg/L). The calculated Henry’s Law Constant (H) of 0.00087Pa m³/mol at 25 °C indicates that the substance is not volatile and will not distribute to air from water. The high estimated Log Koc (> 7.12) shows that the substance will absorb to organic material and therefore will be less mobile in soil.
The distribution model for the substance reflects that low volatility to air and mobility in soil with the substance predicted to partition mainly to soil (94.1%) upon release.However, due to the ready biodegadability, the substance will not persist in these compartments.
