Additional information

There is only one study available concerning the bioaccumulation of dibutyl hydrogen phosphate in fish. The study was carried out at the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation, Japan following the national standard procedure which corresponds to the OECD Guideline 305 C. Cyprinus carpio was exposed to dibutyl hydrogen phosphate at concentrations of 0.2 mg/l and 2 mg/l under flow-through conditions. After reaching a steady state of uptake and elimination, the remaining fish were transferred to a flow-through system containing clean water. BCF values in the range between <0.7 and <6.9 were determined. These results are in accordance with the calculated log Kow of -0.90 for the dissociated form of dibutyl hydrogen phosphate. The results show no indication of a bioaccumulation potential due to the exposure of the organisms via water. It is noticed, that dibuty hydrogen phosphate was assessed within the scope of the ICCA/HPV-program. The results of the bioaccumulation study were neither reported in the OECD-SIDS report nor in the OECD-SIDS-dossier and has not been evaluated in the context of the ICCA/HPV-program. Despite deficiencies on documentation the study is considered to be raliable and is taken into account for assessment.
