Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to the Technical Report on Development of an Enhanced Hazard Classification System for Oxidizing Chemicals (Ed., Buc, EC and Hoffman, DJ) by the National Fire Protection Foundation (April, 2006, Quincy, MA, U. S. A.), oxidizing chemicals are characterized as having specific oxygen or halide arrangements in their chemical structure, which can undergo oxidation/reduction reactions. As this molecule contains no functional group associated with oxidising properties (nitrate, nitrite, organic nitro, fluorodinitro, metal oxides, N-halogen derivatives, difluoroamino derivatives, or oxohalogen derivatives), it is not considered as an oxidising chemical, and is not expected to increase the combustion of other substances.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The structure of this substance does not contain functional groups associated with oxidising properties. The substance is not classified as an oxidising substance.
