Additional information

Acute effects of sodium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate could be observed in earthworms (LC50 = 808.8 mg a.i./kg dw soil) and honey bees after oral exposure (LD50 = 41.7 µg a.i. per animal). The evaluation of the toxicity for the remaining endpoints was performed using data from an analogue substance, dimethylammonium 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate. No significant adverse effects were reported neither in arthropods survival and reproduction nor in soil microflora activity (nitrogen turnover or respiration (0.93 mg a.i./kg dw soil)). Delay in seedling emergence and stunted growth were reported on terrestrial plants after 14 days exposure (ELR50s 0.18 - >1.24 mg a.i./kg dw soil).
