The lethal concentration (LC50) value of Phenetole in fish [Lepomis macrochirus] in a 96 hr study on mortality effect was found to be 103.4304 mg/L . Thus,considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance , it is concluded that Phenetole does not exhibit short term toxicity to fish [Lepomis macrochirus].

Thus, considering the CLP Criteria for aquatic classification of the substance and weight of evidence approach , it is concluded that Phenetole does not exhibit short term toxicity to fish (Lepomis macrochirus, Pimephales promelas, Leuciscus idus melanotus & Ptychocheilus oregonensis).
