Read across from molecules similar to the test item showed that the estimated atmospheric half life is 7 hours for gas phase OH radical reactions. This is supported by Epiwin model that calculated 6 hours for the test item.

The test item is very stable with respect to hydrolysis in neutral, alkaline and acidic aqueous environment. Even at elevated temperatures, the test item remains stable and no significant hydrolysis was observed (van Swieten 2006).

Rapid photolysis has been demonstrated for the test item in water. Direct photolysis is the main process. Indirect photochemical degradation involving reactive oxygen species is of minor importance. Control experiments in the dark indicated that the test item was not eliminated by other processes.
