In vivo, ID50 was apparently inversely related to the lipophilicity of the

compounds: those with the longer carbon chain and less chlorine substituents

were less inhibitory on TG release from the liver. 
 
For 1-chlorohexane, the mean ID50 (after 2 h post-treatment) was high at 7.6 g/kg.
