Description of key information

The particle size distribution of CuGUN powder was determined according to the OECD 110 test method using a Microtrac S3000 laser diffraction particle size analyzer. A small sample is suspended ina solvent system in which it is not soluble and sonicated at low powder to break up agglomerates. The sample is then introduced into the instrument. The instrument determines the particle size distribution from the laser diffraction pattern that results. The measurement is repeated in triplicate.
The particle size distribution is :
- 10% of particles are lower than 13.49 µm,
- 50% of particles are lower than 24.74 µm, and,
- 90% of particles are lower than 52.63 µm.
