Flammability, contact with water:

The study does not need to be conducted because the experience in production or handling shows that the substance does not react with water, e.g. the substance is manufactured with water or washed with water. Furthermore, the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is known to be soluble in water to form a stable mixture. The test material does not contain structural components associated with pyrophoricity and/or flammability on contact with water mentioned in the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance, chapter R.7.1.10.3, page 123. Furthermore, experience in handling and use has shown the material is not pyrophoric, nor flammable upon contact with water. Therefore, it can be concluded that the test material exhibit no risk for pyrophoricity and/or flammability on contact with water. No study is required.
