Acute studies on all three trophic levels are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of Dodecene, hydroformylation products, high-boiling. Daphnia magna turned out to be the most sensitive species revealing an EC50 (48 h) of 45.5 mg/L (nominal). For fish (Leuciscus idus) the LC50 (96 h) was found to be 148 mg/L (geometric mean, nominal) and for algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) a NOEC (72 h) ≥ 100 mg/L based on growth rate was determined.

Additionally, a chronic study for invertebrates is available. For Daphnia magna the NOEC (21 d) was determined to be >= 10 mg/L.
