Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation
Remove to fresh air. If breathing is irregular seek medical advice.
Skin contact
Remove contaminated clothing. Wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. Seek medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before using them.
Eyes contact
Irrigate immediately and copiously with clean, fresh water for at least 15 minutes, keeping opened eyes. In case of irritation seek medical attention immediately.
Ingestion
Obtain medical attention immediately. Don’t induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person and if it is not indicated by the doctor.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Advised extinguishing agents:
CO2, chemical powder, foam. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
Unappropriate extinction methods:
None
Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: In case of fire, the following gases can be released:
Hydochloric acid (HCl)
Carbon oxide (COx)
Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
Advice for firefighters
Wear the fire equipment all the time. Water used in fire-fighting has to be disposed following Local regulation. Cool containers to avoid product decomposition.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Avoid the contact with skin and eyes. Supply a good air circulation. Move away any unauthorised person.Exclude sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions
Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter sewers/ surface or ground water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Cover the spillage with inert absorbent material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust). Collect as far as possible the resulting mass in suitable container for disposal.
Notify authorities if product enters sewer or public waters.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Follow the good industrial hygiene and safety procedures. Do not smoke, eat or drink during the working processes. Supply good air circulation in working area.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store the packaging closed in a fresh and ventilated area, far from from sources of ignition. Store at temperature between 5-40 °C

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures
Ingredients with limit values that require monitoring at the workplace: The product does not contain any relevant quantities of materials with critical values that have to be monitored at the workplace.
2. Organisational protection measures
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
3. Hand protection
Protective gloves
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the the substance.
Material of gloves: latex, butyl rubber, nitrile gloves
Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed:
4. Feet protection: Safety shoes
5. Body protection: suitable protective clothing
6. Eye protection: Safety googles
7. Respiratory protection: Not required.
Stability and reactivity
· Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: At temperatures > 130 ° C the substance decomposes and emits HCl.
· Materials to be avoided: strong oxidants
· Dangerous reactions No dangerous reactions known. The substance is stable in the normal condotions of use and storage.
· Dangerous decomposition products: Due to thermal decomposition or in the event of a fire vapours may be produced potentially dangerous to health. (SOx, COx,HCl).
Disposal considerations
· Product:
· Recommendation Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
· Uncleaned packaging:
· Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
· Recommended cleansing agents: Water, if necessary together with cleansing agents.
